This entry was semi-inspired by Crazy Coulee and Little Lacey's blog.
Before.
After I auto corrected white balance & increased the levels.
After I duplicated the layer, desaturated new layer, added layer mask (white), and painted Stella's eye black.
After I added a filter (artistic->softglow)
I put the coolest one first, because I'm still trying to get the second set right. This second image was also shot from the hip.
Before.
After I desaturated the image, added a new (transparent) layer, and painted Stella's eye blue with a round brush. I also changed the layer settings to "burn."
I highly recommend GIMP. It rocks. Yeah.

very nice editing. i'd say you're pretty much a gimp pro :)
Very cool. I'll have to play around with Laney pics eventually. There just aren't enough hours in the day...
Gimp is pretty cool,though i could never get the hang of it, Photoshop CS3 is my program now.

Hmm...she's already had a doggie face lift on her eyes. Contacts may not be such a stretch...(kidding, of course)

Yeah...who can we petition to add an hour or two to the day?

I must give google credit for all of my knowledge about Gimp. Everything I learned about Gimp I learned through tutorials (both on youtube and websites) that I googled.

And Valerie, I couldn't figure out how to publish only half of your comment, but thanks for the comment, and good luck in your class!
